This is the radio chip that is being used in the iPod touch 3G, iPad, iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G, Apple TV 2G, and iPad 2.

Features

  • "Single-band" variant supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n only on the 2.4 GHz band (iPod touch 3G excludes 802.11n support)
  • "Dual-band" variant supports Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n on both the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz bands (used by the iPad, Apple TV 2G, and iPad 2)
  • FM receiver and transmitter (76MHz - 108MHz) with RDS support
  • Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR
  • Support for 2 simultaneous A2DP profiles
