The T7000 is the Apple A8 processor currently used in the Apple TV HD, HomePod, iPad mini 4, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPod touch (6th generation). Designed by Apple, it contains two 64-bit Typhoon ARMv8-A CPU cores running at 1.38 GHz (1.1 GHz for iPod touch (6th generation)).

Hardware

The A8 part number is APL1011. It is manufactured using the TSMC 20 nm HKMG process and has a die size of 89 mm2. It contains a 4-core IMG PowerVR GX6450 GPU.
