Cydia is an open source application installer created by Saurik that uses the Debian APT system for package management. It is included with all iPhone Dev Team jailbreaks, and is found in every mainstream jailbreak tool (e.g redsn0w, limera1n, blackra1n, PwnageTool, sn0wbreeze, greenpois0n, Spirit, Star) since iOS 2.0. However, for a more portable and lightweight jailbreak, some tools use apps like Loader or blackra1n.app/limera1n.app to download and install Cydia, instead of having it preinstall.
