This folder is where in complete downloads of packages from [[Cydia.app|Cydia]] and [[Advanced Packaging Tool|apt]] are stored. It is the equivent of a <code>.crdownload</code> in [[wikipedia:Google Chrome|Google Chrome]]. For partials to work, the server distributing the package needs to support download resuming. After a partial is finished, it is moved to the [[/private/var/cache/apt/archives|parent directory]] (<code>./..</code>) before the installation proceeds.

This folder is where in complete downloads of packages from Cydia and apt are stored. It is the equivent of a .crdownload in Google Chrome.
