Filesize column idea.
I was wondering if we should add a filesize column which would be like on Firmware. Myself and 5urd have a lot of the betas saved which can help to fill it in. --iAdam1n (talk) 16:50, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
- Nothing against that. What about SHA-1 then too? --http (talk) 23:51, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
- Personally think there is no need for SHA-1 as the ADC is the only legal place to download from and it would just help pirates. --iAdam1n (talk) 00:06, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
- This has been discussed before, and they were removed because of a concern about piracy. I find that reasoning ridiculous now because if you want a firmware, you're not going to search by its SHA-1 hash, you're gonna either search for "iOS 7.1 beta download" or build and search the firmware file name itself (
iPad2,1_7.1_11D5099e_Restore.ipsw
). --5urd (talk) 01:37, 2 December 2013 (UTC)

Basebands
Is it really necessary to add beta basebands? Its not like developers who need to unlock would likely use baseband reliant unlocks. If we removed this then it would be much easier to edit. I do agree that Firmware should keep them but not this page. Let me know what you think. If its ok I am prepared to do it. --iAdam1n (talk) 21:21, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- We should not remove any potentially useful information. If we want to have to somewhere else, then ok, but I believe here is the best place. --http (talk) 22:00, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- Well it makes it difficult to check unless you have a dev account. I do but it is too much to download each beta for each device just to check. How is it useful for beta? Developers would not reply on baseband unlocks. --iAdam1n (talk) 22:04, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- Well information doesn't need to be there just for sake of completness.. if people want to add BB for a particular beta.. why not? if its missing for some or even most I also do not see any issue... just my 2 cents.--M2m (talk) 22:58, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- I fully agree with M2m here. Just put a question mark if you don't know it. No problem with that. It doesn't need to be complete. This wiki will never be "complete". If someone needs that info and digs it out, he can add this info here then. I just don't want to remove anything we already know. --http (talk) 22:11, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

iOS 6.1 beta 5 codename is Brighton, not BrightonVail.
Not sure how this has been worked out in the past, but the codename for 6.1 beta 5 is Brighton, unlike the previous four betas, BrightonVail. I've added the AES keys for all the A4 devices on the pages with BrightonVail as someone already added links to it on the main page. Neal (talk) 06:20, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
What is iProd2,1?
I was digging around the build manifest of the Apple TV 5.0/4.4b1 and found this:
<key>SupportedProductTypes</key> <array> <string>iProd2,1</string> <string>AppleTV2,1</string> </array> </dict> </plist>
What is iProd2,1? --5urd 17:55, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- "iProd" is a moniker Apple used for internal prototypes. "iProd1,1" was the iPad, and "iProd2,1" was the Apple TV 2G. --Dialexio 19:24, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
Download URL's
Could we add the download URLs for each of these. As long as they are on Apple's server, it will deny you access if you try to do it without the $99. It will go Unauthorized with a free account or download it for paid accounts --5urd 16:34, 16 July 2011 (MDT)
