The Chronic Dev Team and the iPhone Dev Team currently have NO interest in jailbreaking any of the beta firmwares for 3.0 for any iDevice. The reasons are the following:

  +
* Jailbreak iPhone2,1
  +
* Break Chain of Trust (SGOLD3)

  +
== Secondary ==
1) The main goal is that Apple does '''NOT''' get their hands on any of the jailbroken files. Meaning that they could patch those files in the final release of 3.0 at the beginning of this summer.

  +
* Get iPhoneLinux running on [[iPod touch 2G]]

* Get kernel extensions working on 2.x

2) Jailbreaking the firmwares is a violation of the User License Agreement from the iPhone Dev Center. The beta firmwares are strictly meant for only developmental purposes related to the App Store.

3) For the 2.0 firmware, there were eight (8) betas released before the final release. The 3.0 firmware is on beta number 5 right now. Do you think it's really worth it to constantly jailbreak new firwmares? No, it's not worth it. We are waiting for the final release of 3.0 to actually jailbreak it. For now, the betas are not of any interest to jailbreak.

There are some unofficial jailbreaks out right now but we warn you that these may not be people we can trust.

Please remember we hold NO responsibility for any damage done to your devices by these unofficial jailbreaks.

Check back to this page for updates that need to be known, if any.

Thanks!
