:::Yea, perhaps not on the main page, but an overview of exploits, most importantly which version they work on, is needed. Perhaps just grouping according to version on the main page. I don't view the site often on iPhone, I'll look. --[[User:Geohot|geohot]] 15:03, 18 January 2012 (MST)

As I am told, it is Apple TV 3G. Just because the blogs use "iPod Touch 4," that doesnt mean we use that. --[[User:5urd|5urd]] 17:30, 7 March 2012 (MST)

Steve Jobs

Rest in peace, Steve. You will be especially missed by us here at the iPhone Wiki, as without you, we wouldn't have the iPhone, the iPod, or the iPad, and we wouldn't be hacking them. You were a true genius, a true visionary, and most of all, the best person this world has ever seen. Thank you, Steve. --rdqronos 18:28, 5 October 2011 (MDT)

Block

Why is there a three year block on this? (I'm surprised it has been one year already...) --Balloonhead66 20:49, 19 November 2011 (MST)

As I recall, an edit war kept breaking out in the "Hackers" section. I gave a warning that the next time an edit war occurred, it would be protected for three years.[1] --Dialexio 10:04, 20 November 2011 (MST)
What about moving it (and the header of the next one to keep people from placing it below the {{Main Page/Hackers}}) to Main Page/Hackers and protecting that page? --Balloonhead66 13:13, 20 November 2011 (MST)
I don't think we should have to edit the main page enough to branch it off like that. We should keep things organized rather than making new pages. --Jacob 14:05, 20 November 2011 (MST)
I agree with Jabob. If Dialexio is not so lazy like I am in the last few weeks, valid change requests on the page Talk:Main Page (here) will get implemented within a day or so. -- http 17:41, 23 November 2011 (MST)
I'm not as lazy as you are; I'm lazier than you. :P …Kidding aside, I'll be around more often than not to look into any edit requests made. --Dialexio 19:07, 23 November 2011 (MST)

Update on jailbreak sector

Guys, on the Main page, we can find a coloured board showing wich devices can be jailbroken and untethered. Well, I don't know how to change, but there is an error. The iPhone 3GS OldBootrom can be jailbroken and untethered with the 24kpwn exploit. The board shows that any version of the 3GS are not succeptible to untether at the moment. If I'm right, please someone change and delete this post. --XiiiX 16:12, 23 December 2011 (MST)

TODO List

Do we have a TODO List? People could put things there to make more people understand the priorities of now. --XiiiX 18:42, 23 December 2011 (MST)

Disclaimer

Can we add the transparency style to the Disclamer?

background: orange; background: rgba(255, 165, 0, 0.5); /* Change to look nice */

--Cole Johnson 20:26, 6 January 2012 (MST)

What's with adding transparency everywhere? There's not nearly enough contrast between the Yes and Partial templates now. --Dialexio 17:58, 7 January 2012 (MST)
Yah, those I will make darker while still retaining the transparency. But with the "beta" style by thekirbylover, "white/pinstripes-on-pinstripes" looks better than "white-on-pinstripes". --Cole Johnson 19:54, 7 January 2012 (MST)
Made them a bit darker with slightly more transparency so it looks just the same as it did before transparency, but you can see through them better. --5urd 23:01, 8 January 2012 (MST)

Technical

In an effort to be more technical, can we list all Patches (mainly the Kernel Patches) and all Exploits on the main page? If these ~20 entries are too much, then maybe just the category link, or only those used since 3.1.3? -- http 02:30, 18 January 2012 (MST)

Support --geohot 08:46, 18 January 2012 (MST)
After your statement, no one contradicts, so I've added something how I think it's not too bad. I had to make a selection to not increase the page size too much. Let me know if the selection, order or anything else should get changed. --http 14:59, 18 January 2012 (MST)
It would also be cool to have the versions the exploit works on, the discoverer, and the first program to implement it. --geohot 14:51, 18 January 2012 (MST)
