Apple TV HD

The Apple TV HD starts at $149 for 32GB of storage, and $199 for 64GB. It has 2GB RAM and its firmware identifier is AppleTV5,3. Unlike the previous generation of Apple TVs, developers are able to write native apps for the set-top-box operating system derived from iOS 9, known as tvOS.

The Apple TV HD was announced on 9th September 2015 and released on 26th October 2015 in select markets.

Application processor

The Apple TV HD makes use of the Apple A8 processor.
