This is the revised version of the original Apple TV 3G. This was released on 28th January 2013 alongside iOS 6.1 (iOS 5.2 for Apple TV). An Apple spokesperson told The Next Web that the only differences between this and the original were "component changes… [that] don’t affect product features." [1]. The name used in firmware is AppleTV3,2.

Application Processor

The Apple TV 3G Rev A uses the S5L8947 (A5 Rev B; not A5X as previously believed[2]).

Wireless

The Apple TV 3G uses the dual-band BCM4334 for wireless communications. It supports 802.11a/b/g/n on both 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies.
