This is the radio chip that is being used in the iPod touch 3G, iPad, and iPhone 4.

Features

  • Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n (Note that the iPod touch 3G has yet to support 802.11n, and the iPad is the only device that supports 5 GHz networks, including 802.11a. At the same time, the iPhone 4 supports 802.11n (2.4 GHz only) but not 802.11a networks.)
  • FM receiver and transmitter (76MHz - 108MHz) with RDS support
  • Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
  • Support for 2 simultaneous A2DP profiles
