Summary
CodEx is an InternalUI app which is used to read data from different audio sources. It appears to need a VPN connection, as it always fails to read data from the codec registers when any of the three sources are chosen, those being AppleMaggieArcAudio, AppleCS35L26Amp, and AppleCS42L71Audio.
