It is believed to be a reincarnation of the application "BurnIn", but has yet to be confirmed with proper evidence. The app's icon is a remake of one of the characters from the Nintendo game, Earthbound. This app first made an appearance in an iOS 7 SwitchBoard build.

The UI of the application features two main elements. Firstly the main UI that shows a picture of the Earth, and if you pull down in the way that you would typically presented with the notification centre in stock iOS you are presented with something that resembles "Control Centre", it is currently unknown what these do. Finally when this "Control Centre" is activated, you see a picture of the Nest Thermostat behind the centre. It is unknown why this occurs, but may have something to do with the temperature of the phone as there is also another file in the .app that references to the temperature of the Nest to be hot, and is thus named "internal_thermostat_hot".
iPhone 4 prototype first reported by [http://gizmodo.com/5520164/this-is-apples-next-iphone Gizmodo]. Brian Hogan, a 21-year-old student at the time, admitted to finding the phone at the Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City, California, after it was left behind by an Apple engineer named Gray Powell, and later selling it to Gizmodo [http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2011/10/brian-hogan-sentenced/]. The iPhone's diguise case didn't seem to have any special features, just two bar codes stuck on its back: 8800601pex1 and N90_DVT_GE4X_0493. Next to the volume keys there was an additional marker: iPhone SWE-L200221.
Mathias Rios purchased it from ebay where it was listed as broken. Compared to an original iPhone4 (black) this prototype has a smaller back camera and the flash is also slightly further away [http://www.flickr.com/photos/mars478/6069524165/in/set-72157627368941519/lightbox/]. In addition this protoype restore mode screen (Conncect to iTunes Screen) shows an old (iTunes9 - blue Note on CD) and pixalated iTunes icon [http://www.flickr.com/photos/mars478/6069517083/in/set-72157627368941519/lightbox/]. This prototype come with a sticker on the A4 denoting it as Design Verification Test Prototype (N90_DVT_I_0010). Appearently the A4 is marked differently than the actual A4 chip in shipping iPhone, and has the same marking as earlier iPod Touches and iPhones (the "K4X2G643GE" marking).
iPhone 4 prototype first reported by [http://gizmodo.com/5520164/this-is-apples-next-iphone Gizmodo].
It's usually located in the [[Apple_Internal_Apps#Internal_diagnostic_apps_known_from_beta_firmwares_and_prototypes|/AppleInternal/Applications]] folder along other internal applications. It usually finds the applications it needs to load in
/AppleInternal/Applications/SwitchBoard/
.Currently, there is no SwitchBoard binary available for public.

SwitchBoard and diagnostic utilities are copied onto the device during restore from special firmware bundles which are seeded only to Apple official service centers. It may be installed onto devices through [[PurpleRestore]]. Switchboard and its internal utilities are, in fact, present on all iDevices during manufacturing. The utilities run extensive tests on the devices, including sensors, thermal measurements and more - and only when all tests pass do the devices go through a final stage, which involves removing the debug utilities and installing the stock version of iOS.. This was made evident by a wave of alleged "prototypes" to have hit eBay during the fall of 2014. The "prototypes" in question were various iPhone 6 devices that, for one reason or another, did not get formatted fully, and thus remained with a full image of SwitchBoard, root access (via SSH running on the device's USB interface), and a full suite of debug utilities.

==About==

This folder is one designated to storying an array of assets which are designated to be used for testing purposes. These folders typically carry large assets, and are used by a verity of tools. The seemingly main reason for having these assets stored in a central place as it allows to multiple tools to access it easily, both apps and command line can access these assets to use for testing purposes.

This area also serves as a good place to start looking if one would want to gain information on upcoming devices, but typically this is limited to model numbers, but on rare occasions more information can be obtained.

You may find some some fairly interesting files in here, most notable ones such as "Shaun das Schaf", a german version of Shaun the Sheep. Another is including videos shot on campus, and an advertisement for a motorbike. It is also loaded with a verity of images, patterns and audio files.
