The iPad 2 was announced on March 2, 2011. It was initially released on March 11 in the United States, and March 25 elsewhere. There are three variants of the iPad 2:&lt;br /&gt;

As of July 6, 2011, all variants of the iPad 2 running iOS 4.3.3 have been successfully jailbroken by [[comex]], using [[JailbreakMe]] 3.0 ''[[Saffron]]'' which is a userland jailbreak. This was patched in iOS 4.3.4 as released by Apple 10 days after the release of Saffron.&lt;br /&gt;
