This is the radio chip that is being used in the iPod touch (3rd generation), iPad, iPhone 4, iPod touch (4th generation), Apple TV (2nd generation), and iPad 2.
Features
- "Single-band" variant supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n only on the 2.4 GHz band (iPod touch (3rd generation) excludes 802.11n support)
- "Dual-band" variant supports Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n on both the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz bands (used by the iPad, Apple TV (2nd generation), and iPad 2)
- FM receiver and transmitter (76MHz - 108MHz) with RDS support
- Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR
- Support for 2 simultaneous A2DP profiles
